Chemistry Department: Our Chemistry Department was established to ensure the balance of chemical components in your body through the analysis of body fluids and tissues. This includes enzyme activities, lipids, hormones, blood glucose, proteins, vitamins, and minerals. Tests include the following:
  • Kidney function tests: Measure blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine.
  • Liver function tests: Measure liver enzymes such as ALT and AST.
  • Electrolyte tests: Determine the balance of electrolytes in the body, such as sodium, potassium, chloride, magnesium, and phosphorus.
  • Comprehensive metabolic panel: Includes kidney and liver function tests, blood glucose (HbA1c and total hemoglobin), and calcium.
