A rheumatoid factor test measures the amount of rheumatoid factor in the blood. The body’s immune system produces these factors, or proteins, in the blood to fight bacteria, viruses, and parasites and prevent their spread in the body.
Increase: Arthritis – Myositis – Autoimmune diseases such as lupus – Cancer.
